New calf!
A new calf was born yesterday. It is the first one this summer with a couple more expected soon. He is already running around and skipping. Baby buffalo can stand and walk around the day they are born and can be found running around the ranch by the end of the day! More news to come!

Liechty Buffalo Ranch is owned by R & R Liechty (sounds like "Leak-Tee.") The homestead was built in the 1800's and has been around for generations of Liechty relatives. Liechty Buffalo Ranch is located in Leo, Indiana. Leo is a small town in the heart of the Midwest where most people are on a first name basis and the buffalo can roam.
Liechty Buffalo Ranch is built on several acres. It is not uncommon for people to stop by in the summer time, leave their cars by the side of the road, and take in the scenery while the buffalo move around in the field.
Liechty Buffalo Ranch was started by supplying buffalo meat to friends and family. We quickly realized that not only did everyone love buffalo meat but they wanted more and so did their friends and family. Our great secret is the buffalo meat. It speaks for itself. The fact that buffalo meat (bison meat) not only tastes great but is good for you only gave us more motivation to be able to stand behind our products. We launched LiechtyBuffaloRanch.com as a way to reach everyone that wants a taste of the finest buffalo meat in Indiana and the Midwest.
